Yaletown Block Party

I haven't done many posts lately, I've been busy at work and at play.

I've been gathering material, I just haven't found the time to write the blog.

So a few weeks ago, Mike and I went to the Yaletown block party.

They do this in a number of communities over the summer. They block off a few streets and then they have food, entertainment, shopping, etc.

One of the things on display at this block party was a bunch of hot rods.

This one has a portrait on the front and there were draws and contests to do with the cars.

So Mike and I walked around and took in the sites and the music.

I made a couple of purchases as the Yaletown shops were having some fantastic sales.

Then after we had enough we, stepped into one of the restaurants and had some supper.

Just as we got inside I started to see people walking by with with umbrellas, we'd made it just in time.

Here is one of the musical groups. They were some sort of lively Cuban group.

They were all wearing bathing suits and flowers.

And here was another group who were playing as we left the restaurant.

It was raining by that time so they had a tough time drawing a crowd.
